Cinnamon is undoubtedly a magical remedy with some extraordinary benefits. One of its most significant advantages is its ability to lower blood sugar levels. If you are pre-diabetic or moving towards diabetes, consuming half a teaspoon of cinnamon daily after dinner can help reduce your sugar levels by approximately 8-10%.
Many people experience sugar cravings, which often stem from insulin resistance where the body produces excessive insulin that is ineffective. Imagine a strong acid cleaning well, but if diluted with water, it cleans much slower. Similarly, when there is fat accumulation around the belly, it indicates weak insulin efficiency. Cinnamon works wonders by improving insulin efficiency and reducing blood sugar levels.
Cinnamon anti-cancer properties Another remarkable property of cinnamon is its anti-cancer effects, as it prevents cancer from spreading and ensures the stability of RNA and DNA. There are two main types of cinnamon: common cinnamon and Ceylon cinnamon from Sri Lanka (also known as “true cinnamon”), which is 6 to 10 times more effective. However, women trying to conceive should use cinnamon cautiously as it can act as a natural birth control if consumed in large amounts (e.g., one teaspoon daily for 7-10 days).
Cinnamon Combination with milk. Prepare a potent combination, grind cinnamon into powder, mix it with a small cup of milk, add some turmeric, and consume it at night. This mixture not only helps improve insulin efficiency but also raises the body’s temperature to metabolize extra fat in circulation.
Flaxseeds (alsi) are also well-known for their health benefits. Consuming one tablespoon of flaxseeds can make you sweat slightly as they bind with fat in your circulation. This does not mean flaxseeds are inherently “hot”; rather, it is your body working to eliminate fat. The effect varies overweight individuals may feel warm, but slimmer people might not notice any temperature rise.
Cinnamon combination with turmeric. For weight loss or maintenance, combining turmeric and cinnamon is effective. Turmeric should be consumed in the morning with black pepper and milk, which enhances its absorption. Turmeric contains curcuminoids that emulsify fat, much like soap breaking down grease. At night, use cinnamon to support fat metabolism and improve insulin efficiency.
Cloves high ORAC value. Cloves, a gift from nature, are considered the most potent herb. They have an exceptionally high ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) value, making them effective against toxins in the body. Clove oil is commonly used by dentists for toothaches and gum health but has many other benefits. Consuming a few drops of clove oil in tea can improve digestion, as cloves are antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and promote healing.
Cloves combination with Turmeric. Combining cloves with turmeric creates a superb combination. Cloves are also anti-cancer and help improve sleep quality, especially for conditions like restless leg syndrome. To consume cloves, add two to three cloves to your tea, and after drinking, chew the softened cloves. This not only makes them easier to eat but also enhances their benefits. For children, mix crushed cloves with honey and give them at night to boost immunity, improve vision, and reduce frequent illnesses caused by excessive junk food consumption.
Cloves in fever cough and cold. Cloves also suppress hunger pangs. If taken regularly, cloves can be added to your daily tea. For immediate relief from fever, cough, or cold, grind 3-4 cloves (adjusting based on body weight), mix with honey, and consume for quick results.
